Rules and Regulations of the South African Institution
1830This volume contains the Rules and Regulations of the South African Institution. Printed in 1830 by W. Bridekirk, Heeregracht in Cape Town, this constitution stems from the following event:
"At a public Meeting held on Wednesday, the 17th June, 1829, in the Public Library, Cape Town, of which A. Oliphant, Esq. His Majesty’s Attorney General, was Chairman, it was resolved,—That an Institution be established for investigating the Geography, Natural History, and general Resources of South Africa." -
