Information For Librarians

We encourage research librarians to list Toposcope among their library’s electronic journal holdings.

This open-access journal’s content is freely available to the public under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, supporting a greater global exchange of knowledge. Librarians may also wish to note that the journal’s open-source publishing system (Open Journal Systems) is suitable for libraries to host journals for their faculty and societies.

Print copies of Toposcope are deposited with:

  • The National Library of South Africa (Legal Deposit)
  • The Kowie History Museum, Port Alfred
  • The Cory Library for Humanities Research, Rhodes University, Makhanda

Digital preservation is supported through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) using the LOCKSS system.

Since 2020, the Rhodes University Library has hosted Toposcope on the Rhodes University – Hosted Journals platform.
