Abstract

The significance of this event in the decision of the British Government of the time to put into motion the emigration scheme that we know as the 1820 Settlement. This introduction to the screening of the film ‘Peterloo’ was compiled and presented by Avonne Pickering at our LAHS meeting in September 2019
